We’ll be attending with a small crew, setting up our chill tent spaces, hosting sacred fire ceremonies, serving sanctified veggie food, and celebrating the Lord of the Universe, Jagannatha who will be riding in on his massive 20 foot tall Ratha-Yatra Chariot!

Our Burning Man Story September 12, 2006

Dear Friends,
We’ve returned from our first Burning Man experience with a great deal of enthusiasm, having had wonderful adventures, meeting new people and exploring new worlds! We’re already planning for next year’s theme “The Greener Man”.
We had a strong turnout of helpers and volunteers this year on our maiden voyage. A huge thanks to all who came! We look forward to meeting again and bringing in more friends next year and in the years to come! Spread the word! Burning Man is Hot!
The core crew assembled on Monday August 28th, having survived flat tires and cross country trekking. Without stopping to sleep we sketched up a new site plan to fit our equipment and went straight into building Lord Jagannatha’s temple. We spent the first two days getting our tents and stage, sound system, and temple put together. We traveled around to many of the other theme camps and took inspiration from their designs, many to be incorporated in future years. (more…)

Hey friends! We’ve just reached semi-civilization (if you can call it that) and are able to post the few photos we have on this computer of our Burning Man experience! We’ve got a ton more on the way, with a full writeup, but suffice it to say, it was a huge endeavor, and a sweet success. Everyone learned a lot, met many new and wonderful friends, and changed their lives for the better by being a part of the ever-expanding embrace of Lord Jagannatha!
Check out these awesome pics! (click here!)
Tally Ho! August 27, 2006

After journeying across the breadth of the USA the core team of Krishna Camp has officially launched from LA en route to Black Rock City! We’re on the early arrivals list and will be making multiple loading runs between Burning Man and a wonderful devotee couple’s home which is located in Stagecoach NV, the last town before Burning Man! (Krishna totally provides!)
We’ve put together a 30 foot tall temple for the ancient deities of Lord Jagannatha (Kaliya), Lord Baladeva and Lady Subhadra Devi. These forms of the Lord were previously worshiped for many long years by a devoted family of Jagannatha deity carvers in Jagannatha Puri India and were recently bestowed into the loving care of Shakuntala Devi in Los Angeles. They are very ancient and special deities Who were brought up onto the Ratha Yatra Carts this year and were blessed by being placed against the body of the giant Lord Jagannatha deity in Puri.
In addition, we’ll be having the company of two wonderful devotees from Germany, one who will perform elaborate and powerful sacred fire sacrifices (Yajnas) as a prayer vigil for the liberation of the universe. Also we have a very talented devotee who is an award winning fire photography specialist! (See I told you Krishna totally provides!)
We have on our team super talented and devoted people who will be shooting photos, filming, cooking, singing, decorating, building, organizing, worshiping, and blessing all the souls who are fortunate to receive the mercy of the Lord at Krishna Camp.
Also we will be distributing the holy waters of 1008 river goddesses along with the caranamrita of 22 Salagram Shilas into all the water supplies in Burning Man, giving everyone the great fortune of being embraced by these Divine Personalities thereby destorying all past sins, removing blocks, opening hearts, and transforming their destinies.
More as things develop! Please forgive the delays in updates, we’ve been understandably very busy. (:

As the deadline draws nearer for Burning Man we’ve been trying our best to pull in as much assistance as we can, books, prasadam, helpers, equipment, transportation, and especially finances.
We’ve put together a little 2 page flyer useful in showing people what we’re up to and how they can help. If you feel inspired please print and show to anyone you think may be interested to assist us in any way.
Thanks for being a part of the team and a member of our Krishna Camp family! Spread the love!
